out of the box

Jährlich findet zwei mal im Jahr die internationale Schuhmesse GDS in Düsseldorf statt, die ausschliesslich für Fachbesucher geöffnet hat. Dieses Jahr jedoch findet in der Düsseldorfer Innenstadt paralell dazu das Festival "out of the box" statt. An verschiedenen Plätzen der Innenstadt gibt es Aktionen, Ausstellungen und Veranstaltungen , wie z.B. Rabatt-Aktionen in diversen Schuhgeschäften, Catwalktraining mit Jorge Gonzales oder die Moderation auf der Aktionsbühne mit der bekannten Freifrau von Kö. Ganz besonders gut gefällt uns die Ausstellung in der Galerie Petra Nostheide-Eycke, die bis zum 27.9.2014 zu dem Thema "Art Shoes-Shoes in Contemporary Art-Künstlerische Positionen zum Thema Schuh" tolle Kunst präsentiert. Einige der Exponate, wie die der Künstlerin Svenja Ritter gibt es auch im überdimensionalem Schuhkarton am Infopoint am Schadowplatz zu sehen. Also vorbeischauen lohnt sich wirklich!

Twice a year, the GDS International Shoe Fair takes place in Dusseldorf , which is open exclusively for trade visitors. However, this year the festival "out of the box" is staged in Düsseldorf city center at the same time . At various places in the city center are actions, exhibitions and events, such as discount offers in various shoe stores, catwalk training with Jorge Gonzales or moderation on the event stage with the famous Freifrau von Kö. Some of the exhibits, such as the artist Svenja Ritter you can also see in the oversized shoe box at the info point at the Schadowplatz. So stop by really worth it!
